Samuel Lundell: $700 Million Annual Consumption of Snus and Nicotine Pouches in Sweden

Samuel Lundell, Chairman of the National Association of Snus Users, revealed that the annual consumption of snus and nicotine pouches in Sweden amounts to around $700 million.

In exclusive comments to Aswaq News, Lundell stated that 40% of users of these products in Sweden are women, while men make up about 60%. He noted that the average individual consumption is approximately half a can per day.

He added that the number of snus and nicotine pouch users in Sweden ranges between one million and 1.5 million users daily.

The chairman of the National Association of Snus Users pointed out that these products have not yet been introduced to the Egyptian market, emphasizing the need to obtain approvals from government bodies and health organizations before they can be legally distributed.

At the end of his remarks, Samuel Lundell expressed hope that snus and nicotine pouch products would be allowed for distribution in Egypt and other countries around the world. He highlighted that these products are less harmful compared to traditional smoking and may help reduce associated health risks.
